Reflecting on our journey with Two Nests, we’re reminded of the incredible power of storytelling to bring people closer together. Through the documentary interactive theatre, we set out to collect and transform real-life stories from divorced families into a heartfelt play. This wasn’t just a performance—it was a collaboration between professional performers and families who bravely shared their experiences.
What made this project truly special was the way it shone a light on the challenges and emotions that divorced families navigate daily. By presenting these stories, we hoped to deepen public understanding and foster empathy, while also introducing the meaningful concept of “child-focused co-parenting.”
The process was as much about listening and connecting as it was about creating. It reminded us that art can be a bridge—bringing diverse voices together, sparking important conversations, and, ultimately, promoting healing and change. Looking back, Two Nests was more than a play; it was a testament to the resilience of families and the shared humanity that connects us all.
