To celebrate its 10th anniversary, the Lung Fu Shan Environmental Education Centre took a fresh approach to storytelling about nature. Traditionally, the Centre had worked with scholars and ecological experts from the University of Hong Kong to guide the public through Lung Fu Shan, introducing them to its diverse flora and fauna. This time, they invited writers and artists to explore the area from new perspectives, using Mid-Levels as a boundary to reflect on the relationship between the mountain and the city below.

As part of this initiative, I was commissioned to create a short story inspired by Lung Fu Shan’s rich natural and urban connections. My piece was then transformed into an artistic element of the Sensing Nature: This is Lung Fu Shan exhibition, offering visitors a literary lens through which to experience the landscape’s layered histories and shifting identities.
